JOWH support SME companies, international business activities and industry transactions and relationships in the wind energy sector, automotive sector and electric vehicle market. Here the idea was born to combine electric vehicle charging in motion, with electricity from wind energy, used on public roads and race circuits.

Time line

• 2012-01    Concept development started after gaining experience in vertical axle wind turbines.
• 2012-05    Prototype test of a 2.3 meter wide model on a trailer behind a car on a racing circuit.
• 2012-07    Patent registration of the concept.
• 2014-03    Climate-KIC program participation started.
• 2014-11     Torque Wind Turbine R&D BV company founded.
• 2014-12    Customers pre-order registration officially started.
• 2015          Further improvements established for even higher output and CFD analyses.
• 2016          Planning for constructing a 3 meter wide, 4 layer, functional prototype for testing
