Households, farms, companies and even small villages could add one or more wind turbines to the existing electricity network. If wind and sun are both interesting energy sources these users become completely self-supplying in energy when this energy is year round available.
Decentral electricity networks can be installed securing local power production and other networks. Sun, wind and water power can be combined. The existing fuel power generator could be the back-up but far less fuel is needed to produce electricity, and the maintenance cost are lower due to the low running hours of the fuel power generator. With a battery pack a 1 or 2 day electricity storage could become possible. Using an electric vehicle battery to store electricity could be very efficient and an economic interesting approach. With a forecast of the wind and sun situation the batterie level can be controlled and the fuel generator be prepared for running at minimum cost for a predefined time.
